Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

The Jewish Federation of Arkansas is seeking a compassionate, empathic, self-motivated, and organized person to help Jewish community members navigate challenging life moments through older ages and geriatric care. The LCSW will report to the JFAR Executive Director as well as JFAR committees that are aligned with Social Services.

Responsibilities:
-
Maintain HIPAA compliance.
-Respond to diverse community inquiries for resources (information and referral).
-Understand and experience working with a geriatric clientele for therapy, programs, and navigating resources not available through JFAR.
-Provide case management to diverse clients base and meeting clients primarily in their residences or designated place.
-Build and maintain community resources and collaborate with community partners to support and meet clients’ needs.
-Work in collaboration with Jewish community leaders regarding client needs and applicable programming.
-Maintain boundaries with clients.
-Provide timely and proper documentation of all clients including an ongoing database of client needs.
-Identify, train, and supervise the Chevrei (Friends) Volunteer Network (volunteers who are trained to provide visits, phone calls, errands, and other purposeful visits to provide comfort and companionship.
-Provide guidance to Social Services Financial Needs sub-committee. -Develop and support educational programs and holiday outreach initiatives.
-Execute other responsibilities as determined by the JFAR Executive Director.
-Meet weekly with JFAR Executive Director, provide monthly report to JFAR Board, and quarterly reports to Social Services Committee.

Qualifications/Experience:
-MSW in social work and clinical licensure (LCSW). Three to four years experience is preferred in aging issues as well as the ability to serve a broader population.
-Current driver’s license and insurance.
-Knowledge or willingness to learn about Jewish culture and lifecycle events.
-Empathic, caring, and compassionate. Strong customer service and relationship building skills with clients and colleagues.
-Comfort with in-person, hybrid, and virtual service delivery, coordination, and public speaking.
-Readiness to work with Jewish community members across the state of Arkansas both virtually and in-person.
-Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task, and self-motivated.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Strong networking skills especially understanding and working with multiple resources in the broader community.
-Strong computer skills and demonstrated track record of learning new programs quickly, including case management software and Microsoft Office.
-Able to navigate buildings with stairs and no elevators; able to lift 30 pounds.
-Willing to learn and grow.
-Flexible and willing to work occasional evenings or Sundays for scheduled community events.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
