Financial Assistance

The Jewish Federation of Arkansas provides support, as follows, through its Family Services fund to Jewish individuals/families in need in Arkansas.

Financial Assistance Guidelines:

Please note that requests require 3 business days to review and process, so please contact us as soon as possible if you think you will require support.  With the exception of those who are unable physically and/or mentally to respond for themselves, all requests must come directly from the person requesting aid, from that person's rabbi, or from our social worker.

All requests will be handled discretely and confidentially.  All those requesting support will be asked to consent verbally or in writing to a request form that gives us permission to check any information necessary to fulfilling the request as well as to share information with other congregations or agencies that offer support.  The goal of the form is to enable us to get the information we need to handle your request as quickly and respectfully as possible, while also allowing us to maximize resources by checking whether other organizations can help us with the request.

JFAR's Family Services fund is geared toward emergency short-term needs. Our ability to provide long-term support is limited, but our social worker may be able to work with you to find other sustainable solutions.

In lieu of, or in addition to, granting financial assistance, JFAR will also assist in finding other avenues of social support when possible.
