The Jewish Federation of Arkansas is committed to ensuring a Jewish future in Arkansas, and we know that the Jewish Education is crucial in doing so. JFAR Scholarships are available to Arkansas Jewish families of children ages 0-18, who need financial assistance with:

  • Religious School Tuition (i.e. Sunday School)

  • Jewish Childcare/Preschool Tuition

  • Yeshiva/Jewish Day School Tuition

  • Tutoring for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah

Guidelines

  • All applicants must submit a fully completed application that will be reviewed by JFAR’s Scholarship Committee.  All applications, information on applications, and scholarship aid will be kept strictly confidential.

  • In the case of scholarships for Congregation B’nai Israel’s religious school, the Rabbi at the congregation will also be consulted so that aid from JFAR and from the Temple can be coordinated.

  • You may be asked to provide additional information beyond the information provided  on the application.  Consideration for aid is contingent upon being willing to answer additional questions to clarify information, if necessary.

  • Aid is need-based and provided on a rolling basis beginning in July, the beginning of JFAR’s fiscal year. As the fiscal year progresses, the pool of funds will diminish and may be used entirely.  Families are encouraged, therefore, to apply as soon as possible.
